Rugby League Fans Set To Raise Money for Sharon Beshenivsky Fund.

Rugby league fans are getting the chance to bid for 2 signed rugby league shirts to raise money for Sharon Beshenivsky’s memorial fund.
The shirts have been donated by the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Hull FC and have been signed by the players from each team.
They are now being advertised on the clubs’ websites and whoever sends in the highest bid wins the shirt.
PC Dave Dosdale who organised the auction said: “I was aware that a number of officers from the Wakefield District are running in Hull on 19th March to raise money for Sharon’s memorial fund and I wanted to do something to assist with fundraising.
“As I have contacts with Hull, I approached them to see if they could donate a signed shirt to the auction fund and they gladly obliged.
“Since then we have obtained a signed shirt from the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats to add to the auction.
“I am delighted with the support from the clubs and we are hoping to raise as much money as we can from the auction.
“If anyone wants to make a bid, they will need to send the amount they are bidding for the shirt to my email address david@daviddosdale.wanadoo.co.uk by 26th March at 8pm.”
Superintendent Ian Whitehouse said: “The auction is an excellent idea to raise money for Sharon’s memorial fund. Officers are also raising money by running 20 miles around Hull on the same day. We hope that everyone will give generously so we can raise as much as we can.”
